Nissin Diamond Co., Ltd. (Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture), a group company of OSG Corporation, has announced that it plans to take over the business of Micro Diamond Corporation (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) on October 1, 2024*. Micro Diamond Corporation is the only manufacturer in the world capable of producing ultra-small diameter monocrystalline ball end mills using proprietary technology.

Through the collaboration between Nissin Diamond Co., Ltd. and Precision Tools Holding B.V. of the Netherlands, which OSG acquired on July 12, 2024, the OSG Group hopes to make great strides in the development of the micro precision machining field in the diamond tool market. The OSG Group also believes that this acquisition will provide the company a strong edge in advancing into the fields of electronics-related precision tooling and medical tooling.

*It is assumed that approvals from related parties will be obtained by the same date and that other general conditions for execution will be satisfied.
